I was never really a fan of geologygeek – I find ‘geek’ is rarely a useful word. Initially I thought it might be a useful shorthand, but the longer I’ve had to think about it I’m not really keen on what it can sometimes be seen as shorthand for. The only reason it ever got used in the first place was I was that my first choice of ‘disconformity’ was already taken, and having just been called a geology geek by an old friend I guess the idea was planted.
Anyway, everything is now present and correct under the new ‘lithics’ site. Old links should still forward you to the original posts, and I think all the RSS feeds have transferred over correctly without you needing to do anything.
